Subtraction Cutting
3:26 AMSubtraction cutting is a really fun method of making dress into something new and different.I actually never heard of this method before but now I'm really interested in how to produce a unique piece of garment through this technic.So I was doing 3 experiment for past few weeks about subtraction cutting.
First experiment I bought a colourful fabric because I wanted the colour of the dress to pop up.I personally combine colourful fabric with red polkadot fabric to create fresh look.
I combine purple organza and black organza
The second experiment I like was how the dress look flowy than the first look.I think it because I used a light weight fabric so it created a different effect which I quite like too maybe something I will change was to add some drape to create another effect.
The third experiment I bought a fabric that can stretch because I want to play with every type of weight.I combine black and blue pattern type of knit to create volume on the garment.
I personally really satisfied with the result of the dress as well as the colour because for me it look really fresh and it was something new that I never done before.
